What does Naukri’s free job posting include?

As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s pages stated these free-posting terms:

As of 31 October 2026, an indexed copy of Naukri’s official free-posting page showed two free jobs a month. Confirm the allowance shown in your employer account before scheduling vacancies.

As of 31 October 2026, the job posting page uses “applies expiry” without defining it, and the free posting page does not say whether “every month” means a calendar month or 30 days from your last post. Ask Naukri support before you plan around either. As of 31 October 2026, the free posting page also advertises AI-powered hiring assistance, which it says can generate a job description and give candidate recommendations, and the Naukri Recruiter App. We did not test either.

Who can post a free job on Naukri?

As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s job posting page says company and proprietorship accounts with valid documents can use the free job but individual accounts and accounts registered with public email domains such as Gmail and Yahoo cannot, and its packages page says the accounts must be verified.

If your business uses Gmail or Yahoo, confirm eligibility with Naukri before preparing the advert. As of 31 October 2026, the job posting page says “valid documents” without listing them, so ask Naukri support what it accepts for your kind of business.

As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s free posting FAQ says startups, SMEs and first-time employers typically use free posting, which suits low-volume or entry-level hiring.

How do I post a free job on Naukri, step by step?

As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s free posting page and its blog guide dated 24 September 2026 describe these steps: register as an employer, fill in one job form, submit it and wait for review.

1. Check the account type against the eligibility section above.
2. Open the free posting page and choose Post a free job.
3. Register as an employer. As of 31 October 2026, the blog guide lists company and contact details, then verification of the account.
4. Fill in the job form. As of 31 October 2026, the blog guide lists title and description, location, skills and qualifications, number of vacancies, employment type and experience level. Draft the description within the character limit in the table above.
5. Submit it for review. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s FAQ says the job goes live once approved, and the blog guide says approval usually takes a few hours, depending on content quality and compliance.
6. Review applications throughout the week. As of 31 October 2026, the blog guide says applications are routed to your email or dashboard. The visibility period and application cap are in the table above.

We could not open the employer form without an account, so field names on your screen may differ. The blog guide lists a number-of-vacancies field, but as of 31 October 2026 the free posting page does not say how many openings a free job can carry. Confirm before you rely on it.

What limits matter when you hire freshers on Naukri?

Before posting, check the allowance, visibility period, description length, location limit, application cap and contact restrictions. As of 31 October 2026, six limits from Naukri’s pages affect a fresher plan:

• One live job. A 12-person e-commerce analytics firm in Hyderabad, used here as an example, wants a data analyst trainee, a QA trainee and a customer success trainee. Naukri’s free page showed one free job a month in our 31 October 2026 browser check, so the free route covers one role per monthly allowance. A second free platform such as LineupX, which states no limit on the number of posts, can carry the others.
• One week. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s job posting page lists seven-day validity for a free job. Publish on a day when you can review applications that week; “applies expiry” is in the table above.
• 250 characters. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s job posting page limits the free description to 250 characters, about 40 words. Include the role, eligible batch, work location, pay and application instruction.
• One location. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s job posting page allows one location for a free job. For a vacancy open in Hyderabad and Pune, choose the actual work location before publishing.
• 50 applications. As of 31 October 2026, the free page states “up to 50 applications/job”, and the pages do not say what happens to applicants after the cap. A fresher role can draw more, so review applications promptly, but do not assume that reviewing them raises the cap.
• Masked contact details. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s packages page says jobseeker contact details are masked and will not be visible on the free job. Ask Naukri how you reach shortlisted applicants before you promise candidates a call.

In our 31 October 2026 browser check, the quantity selectors opened at 02, showing ₹3,300 for two Hot Vacancy credits, and ₹4,950 appeared when the job posting page’s selector was set to 03. Compare the quantity and the total, not the displayed price alone, and check both before paying. As of 31 October 2026, the packages page says credits bought in quantities of 1 to 4 should be consumed within 30 days of activation/purchase, and credits bought in quantities of 5 or more within 1 year.

As of 31 October 2026, the free job posting page says paid plans start “at just ₹400/job”, but the cards on the job posting and packages pages show no plan at that price, so confirm the figure at checkout. On 31 October 2026, Naukri’s Resdex page listed candidate search at a custom price based on your plan, and its blog guide to free posting says résumé access is limited in free mode. Treat the free job as a way to receive applications, not to search for candidates.

How do I cover three fresher roles on Naukri?

• the total including GST, and the quantity you selected;
• whether a free job and paid credits can run at the same time;

Can I post an internship on Naukri for free?

Not on the free job. As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s packages page reserves internship postings for paid Hot Vacancy: “Internship jobs can be posted using Hot Vacancy only.” Hot Vacancy is the paid product in the table above.

Naukri’s blog guide to posting a job, dated 25 June 2025, lists “Post an Internship” among its posting types. As of 31 October 2026, the free posting page does not mention internships, so confirm in the form before you pay.

As of 31 October 2026, Indeed’s Free Job Post Policy lists India for visibility of up to 120 days, with no numerical free-post limit currently stated for those countries. Its post-a-job FAQ separately describes a general 30-day or performance-threshold limit, so confirm the terms applied to your vacancy.

How do I check Naukri’s limits before I post?

Check the current public terms against the allowance shown in your account.

1. Read the lines under the heading on the free job posting page, the Free card on the job posting page and the notes under “For starters” on the packages page.
2. Check the date on any article you rely on, because older guides can describe earlier plans.
3. If your dashboard differs from the published terms, record the dated public terms, compare the allowance your account shows, and ask Naukri to resolve any difference before you rely on either.

As of 31 October 2026, Naukri’s recruiter guide says refreshing extends a job’s validity and consumes posting credits, with the charge depending on the product and location count; it does not establish whether a free job can be renewed without a paid credit.
